The waiters here are excellent and love their job , they are customer oriented. First offered us some fresh home made bread with cheese dip and was amazing. Helped us to choose the best menu and specifically noted to cook the meat well done with no blood because my wife is pregnant so they had extra attention. My kids had pasta , ( the pasta is homemade too) and loved it. I&#39;m a fish lover so had one fresh from their showcase and was exquisite.

The western food here tonight is still possible with drinks and wine. The night here is still relatively quiet, especially the Maltese pizza here. It is actually quite delicious, and the salad is also proof.

Excellent service from Katalino and delicious food from chef Bezzina - we were treated really well in a relaxing terrace overlooking Mellieha bay. Place is also family friendly - our 14-month daughter thoroughly enjoyed it.

Having had many enjoyable meals over the years we booked La Barca for my brother-in-law&#39;s birthday meal. I emailed the manager before we left and he promptly phoned me and was so helpful. We had a lovely table on the balcony overlooking beautiful Mellieha Bay. We were a party of nine, six adults and three children. We had Katalino look after us and he did a fantastic job of explaining the menu and said the children could have half portions of most menu items. We all enjoyed our selections of steak, rabbit dishes, octopus, prawns, squid and various fish. My nephew enjoyed Katalino showing him how to fillet his sea bream. As we had all enjoyed our meals and restaurant experience so much we returned for dinner on the last evening of our holiday. Once again we were looked after by Katalino who really is very entertaining and knowledgable of the food and wine. We followed his guidance on wine selections and were not disappointed. Friendly, helpful staff, delicious food, great wine selection and a stunning view. Perfect.

Poor service....waited a long time to order drinks then wine placed on table without glasses and being opened until we asked which wasn&#39;t a good start. Got worse though as waited forever for food and had to say we would leave if not brought soon....when it did come the fish was overcooked and dry....flesh stuck to skin and pork undercooked...pink.....beware...looking at the rest of the reviews with quite a few good ones....this place looks like it could be a hit but a very big miss
